SEN 100 - Intro English Language & Culture I (English Language Learner)

First course in a 2-course sequence designed for non-native speakers of English to achieve proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English.  Emphasis on the mechanics of standard English, the English phonetic system, and intermediate to advanced conversational skills.  Proficiency is gained through the use of authentic materials and opportunities to interact with native speakers of English.  Orients students to US Culture and the American higher education system.
