Laboratory course that provides hands-on experience with advanced spectroscopic methods for analysis. The student will utilize modern spectroscopic instrumentation, including atomic absorption, fluorescence, FTIR, Raman, UV-vis, and NMR. Computational studies with quantum mechanical principles are applied to the interpretation of spectroscopic data. Computer acquisition and analysis of data are widely utilized.
