SNU 401 - Mental Health Nursing Concepts (Nursing)3 Credit(s)
The purpose of this course is to provide nursing strategies for promoting, maintaining, and restoring mental health utilizing therapeutic nursing interventions for clients along the mental health/ disorder continuum in all settings. Concepts of stress, coping, and cognition will also be addressed. Self- awareness, personal growth, socio-cultural sensitivity, communication strategies, and professional development are vital components of the course.

Nursing Majors Only.
Prerequisite: Required 300 level nursing courses with minimum grade of B-.
Corequisites: SNU 402 , SNU 403 , and SNU 404 .
