SED 682 - Culturally-Relv Sustaining Pedagogy 3 Credit(s)
This course focuses on practices for culturally-relevant and sustaining education. Students engage in critical conversations with families, integrate multiple perspectives into learning experiences, and recognize diversity as an asset. This course is also designed to prepare teachers with critical understandings of culturally responsive practices in order to meet learners’ needs at the intersection of culture and special needs. Students are introduced to the NAEYC standards and strategies for trauma-sensitive classrooms.
