SED 684 - Structured Literacy I (Education)3 Credit(s)
This course focuses on the development of language and early literacy in children from birth to age 9. Students will investigate research-based strategies for enhancing children’s language skills, the correlation of a child’s early language development to emergent literacy and future academic success, assessment methods for determining student understanding and progress, and ways to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
