SAT 540 - Art Therapy with Groups (Art Therapy)3 Credit(s)
Theoretical and experiential study of art therapy with groups. Includes the practical aspects of creating and maintaining art therapy groups. Students experience various approaches to group art therapy. Skills developed through readings and in-class experientials include: understanding group dynamics, determining group needs, and designing group art therapy processes that meet the needs of a variety of client groups in different treatment settings. Must be completed with a grade of B- (2.67) or higher for continuation in the Art Therapy program.
