SED 691 - Action Research Seminar (Education)3 Credit(s)
In addition to providing preservice teachers with support during student teaching, this course prepares them to engage in action research that seeks transformative change in the context of critical reflection. By answering questions, such as whether or not a particular teaching strategy can improve student learning, educational research
improves our practice and informs our policy debates. To this end, students will be responsible for designing a simple pre-test/post-test intervention in their classrooms.
